Britt Bröndsted of Denmark finished the 24-game preliminaries at 3rd World Ranking Masters in Lake Wales, FL, USA, with pinfall total of 5087 and an average of 211,96 to claim the top-seeded position for tomorrow's single elimination finals.
The Dane, who took over the lead after the third round, bowled a solid 1260-block on Tuesday, to hold a 119-pin lead over second-placed Patricia Schwarz (right) of Germany. The 1997 World Games champion checked in with 4968 (207 avg.).
Third place belongs to Margalit Mizrachi (left) of Venezuela at 4930, with Finn Reija Lunden fourth at 4922.
Bowlingdigital's 2001 Int'l Player of the Year Kirsten Penny (right), England, used a 1250-series to leap five spots into fifth place, 4856.
Wendy Chai, Malaysia, jumped from 11th to sixth behind a 1265-series, 4852. Making the biggest jump of the day from 16th to 7th was Inngellimar Contreras.
The Venezuelan (pictured right with Kegel President John Davis) rolled the highest block of the day, (1355), for a 225,83 average through the round to earn the $1,000 extra prize.
She threw an 742 series (275, 257 and 210) in games two through four. Aumi Guerra (left) of the Dominican Republic grabbed the 8th and final spot for tomorrow's single elimination finals at 8 a.m. with pinfall total of 4838, the biggest success ever for a Dominican woman on world level.
