2005 World Ranking Masters a spectacular success

 The 5th World Ranking Masters at the Kegel Bowling Center in Lakes Wales, FL, was a spectacular success. The credit goes to John Davis, his sons Jonathan and Chris, and the entire staff of the Kegel Company. Clara Guerrero from Colombia and Kimmo Lehtonen from Finland emerged as the 2005 World Ranking Masters champions in the 5-day competition on multiple lane conditions.

Clara Guerrero wins 2005 Women's World Ranking Masters

Single Elimination Finals

Clara Guerrero.jpg Clara Juliana Guerrero defeated Wendy Chai from Malaysia, 2-1, in the best-of-three-game finals en route win the 2005 Women's World Ranking Masters here at the Kegel Bowling Center in Lake Wales, Fla. As in the quarter and semifinals, the 23-year-old from Armenia, Colombia, came back from being down 0-1 and sealed the victory with three strikes in frames 7-9 to earn her biggest career title and the $10,000 top prize.

Kimmo Lehtonen is the 2005 Men's World Ranking Masters Champion

Kimmo_Lehtonen_5141.jpg Finn Kimmo Lehtonen, who is being looked at as one of the best lefthanders in the world, topped compatriot Jouni Helminen, 2-1, in the men's championship match to become the 2005 World Ranking Masters Champion. The spectators at the Kegel Bowling Center and the TV viewers (PBA pro Brian Voss was the color commentator) saw three completely different games.
