2010 European Youth Championships to be held in France

The European Tenpin Bowling Federation has announced that the 23rd European Youth Championships 2010 will be held in Wittelsheim, France, which is located close to the Swiss and German border. The championships will take place at 36-laner Crystal Bowling in from March 26 through April 4, 2010.
The 2008 EYC in Helsinki, Finland, will be the last event featuring the old format of 6 boys and 6 girls per country competing in doubles, trios, five-player team, all events and masters.
Beginning with the 2009 EYC in Malmö, Sweden, the number of players will be reduced to 4 boys and 4 girls per country, who will compete in singles, doubles, 4-player team, all events and masters. The champions in singles, doubles and team will be decided in semi-finals and finals.
