Swedish bowler honored for his 1000th league match

Torgny Asp is the owner of a bowling center in Mjölby, a little town in the South of Sweden, and still bowls in the Swedish national league at the age of 64.

Asp played his first league match (a match consists of 4 games) on September 25, 1967. In 40 years, he hasn't missed a single match. Asp was now honored by the Swedish Bowling Federation and many friends for playing his 1000th match in the Swedish national league.
His average through 40 years is 194 including a 985 high series.
Asp's outstanding streak of consecutive league matches will come to end this season. He is going to play one more match for his team and then he will leave Sweden for a long vacation to Brazil.
