Moscow Pro Bowling Sport Exhibition 2006

Marina Lebedeva, editor-in-chief of Bowling. Business & Sport (right) in Russia has informed us that the second annual Moscow Pro Bowling Sport Exhibition, February 16-19, was a great success. The event, staged in the Olympic indoor arena, was organized by Global Expo, Bowling Sport Magazine and the Federation of Sports Bowling of Russia.
The second annual Pro Bowling Sport Exhibition was a 4-day show with the first two days featuring trade-only attendees and the second two days were opened up to the public. 12,000 attendees were predicted to be on hand.
International Bowling Industry (IBI) Publisher Scott Frager attended the largest bowling trade show to date for Russia and the CIS (former Soviet territories), one of the fastest-growing bowling areas in the world.
"It was a real treat being asked to present a seminar on the evolution of bowling around the world and current worldwide trends affecting the industry," said Frager, who called the Russia-CIS area "an incredible opportunity for bowling manufacturers and suppliers." Click on the image to enlarge it.
"I've had many opportunities to speak around the world and meet with proprietors and pro shop operators, but I have never come away so impressed with the quality and caliber of bowling business people," Frager added. "The passion and knowledge of proprietors everywhere in Eastern Europe are immense. But just as powerful is their desire to do even better. While I was there to demonstrate and share ideas from the Americas, Western Europe, and Asia, I came away learning about a great deal more."
Other presenters included: Ron Wood (above), QubicaAMF, Dennis Torgerson, Ebonite and Terry Larsen (right), Dexter Shoes. Experts from Brunswick Bowling, Bowling Sport Magazine, Bowling League of Russia and VIA Bowling were on hand to lend their advice and expertise to attendees.
