    Asiad Bowling Center in Busan, Korea (Aug. 27 through Sep. 9, 2006)

    2006MWCLogo.jpg The Korea Bowling Congress (KBC) will host the inaugural World Tenpin Bowling Championships for Men from August 27 through September 9, 2006 at the Asiad Bowling Center in Busan.

    This will be the first time the men's worlds are conducted separately from the women. The inaugural women's championships were held in Denmark last year.

    44 countries - almost half of them from Europe (22) with 17 from Asia and mere 5 from the American Zone - have announced to send a delegation to the championships.

    Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, England, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UAE, Ukraine, United States, Venezuela, Wales and the host country of Korea.

    Maximum six players per team will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals on dual lane condition in Singles (short oil), Doubles (long oil), Trios (short and long oil), five-player Teams (short and long oil), All Events and Masters (short and long oil).
