Öhman stops Bröndsted's run for Danish Masters title

    2005EBT09AndersOhman.jpg Britt Bröndsted from Denmark came from behind and was just one win away from the Danish Masters title, but Anders Öhman from Sweden held off the run with a big game.

    The 3-time world champion from 2003, seeded No. 1, defeated the reigning European ranking queen and 2003 World Ranking Masters champion in the title match, 275-222, to earn the 40.000 Danish Kronor top prize.

    Bröndsted, seeded fourth, topped 4-time European ranking champion Gery Verbruggen in the opening match, 215-203, then sidelined the other woman in the final, Anna Mattsson-Baard, Sweden, 255-210.
