Marcel Endries and Fabio Coduti win 2nd Youth GP Zurich 2006

Marcel Endries (left) of Germany and Fabio Coduti of Switzerland won the titles in Category A and B in the 2nd Youth GP in Zurich, Switzerland.
The championships match of the A Juniors (DOB 01.01.1988-31.07.1991) was an all-German affair. Endries rolled games of 222 and 215 to defeat Yvonne Fischer (216-210 including 7 pins handicap each game), 437-426. Endries led the field after qualifying and the semi-finals.
Fabio Coduti of Winterthur claimed the title in the B Juniors division (DOB 01.08.1991-31.12.1996) with a 414-374 victory over Alexander Fischer. Third place went to Manuel Pflügl. The 14-year-old German set the highlight of the tournament when he shot a 300-game in the first game of the semifinals. The picture shows Manuel with his proud mother.
The 7 players in Category A nd the 18 players in Category B fom Germany, Austria and Switzerland rolled six games of qualifying. All A players and the top 8 B players advanced to the semifinals. 50 per cent of the qualifying total was carried forward. After another three games, the field was cut to the top 6 for the Eliminator-Knockout Final.
Those six bowled two games from scratch to cut to the top 4, who will determine the two finalists in another two-game set from scratch. The two remaining players determined the champion over two games total pinfall from scratch.
