Louw, Van der Berg take LGB SuperBowl in Cape Town, South Africa

Francois Louw Jr. and Marika van der Berg took the men's and women's scratch titles in the LGB SuperBowl in Cape Town, South Africa, last weekend.
As winners the duo will represent the host country in the QubicaAMF World Cup at the end of the year. The 47th edition of the individual tournament in which only one man and one woman per country or territory are allowed to participate will take place at Northcliff Bowling Center in Johannesburg from Nov. 30 through Dec. 7.
In the men's division Louw (pictured) averaged 230.50 over 24 games to beat out fellow South African national team member Garreth Hechter for the top spot by 250 pins. Louw totaled 5532 pins with Hechter in second place with 5283 and Bevan van der Poll in third place with 4959.
On the women's side, Van der Berg had a 134-pin buffer over Petruschka Dekker. Van der Berg knocked down 4545 pins, an average of 189.38 for 24 games, while Dekker landed in second place with 4411. Gail Quin was further 301 pins behind in third place with 4110.
