Proprietors' Association of Germany announces new TV deal with Eurosport

BundesverbandBowlingLogo.jpg20091130EurosportMeeting.jpgBundesverband Bowling, the Proprietors' Association of Germany, has announced that Eurosport will continue to show the PBA Tour in 2010 on Eurosport 1 and 2 and broadcasts from the European Bowling Tour. Highlights could be two live broadcasts, one from the Men's World Championships in Munich, Germany.

Frédéric Sanz (Eurosport), Vincent le Goff (Eurosport), Joan Ricart (FIQ VP and president of the Catalonian Bowling Federation), Clara Roca Carrasco (Catalonian Bowling Federation), Phil Mison (Kingpin Promotions), Claude Legrand (Bundesverband Bowling) und Volker Klien (Bundesverband Bowling) had a meeting at Eurosport in Paris, France.

Mr. Sanz informed the group that Eurosport is satisfied with the bowling ratings so far but also is expecting an increase for the next season.

EurosportLogo.jpgEurosport 1 und Eurosport 2 will continue its broadcasts from the Professional Bowlers Association Tour with the tournaments of the 2009-10 season starting in March 2010.

Eurosport 1 shows 10 PBA Tour stops shows on Friday nights at prime time (between 7pm and Midnight). All PBA Tour stops will be shown on Eurosport 2. Rebroadcasts may be shown on both channels depending on the daily program schedule.

The new contract includes broadcasts from the European Bowling Tour and plans for two live broadcasts, one from the Men's World Championship from DreamBowl Palace in Munich, Germany (Aug 11-22, 2010).

The costs of the TV deal are shared by Bundesverband Bowling and its member from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg and the bowling industry.
