After living four and a half years in Europe, Ron Wood (pictured left), Vice President of International Sales and Service for QubicaAMF Worldwide, and his family have relocated back to the US.
Ron's role and responsibilities remain unchanged. He continues to be responsible for QubicaAMF's sales and service operations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia. Ron is now working from the QubicaAMF headquarters in Mechanicsville, VA, and will travel internationally on a routine basis.
Ron and his family relocated to Italy in 2006, with the understanding this would be a three to five year commitment. The timeframe worked well for the company and Ron's family as his 3 daughters will all be entering a new level of school in the fall.
While spending the past several years living in Italy and the Netherlands, Ron has worked closely with the QubicaAMF international sales team and distributor channels to properly align the organization's resources with specific market needs. Going forward he will continue to work closely with the sales and distributor channels focusing efforts on enhancing the customer experience and continuing to develop and grow the region.
"Ron is an experienced and valuable member of our organization. He has built an excellent sales and service team over the last few years and I am confident that our business success in the international markets will continue under his capable leadership," says John Walker, President and CEO of QubicaAMF Worldwide.
"The decision for my family and me to move back to the US is based on reasons that are both business and personal," states Wood. "This assignment has been a great experience for my entire family. The biggest change will be with my travel schedule. Rather than travelling every week and being home on weekends, going forward I will spend a couple of weeks at home followed by a couple of weeks traveling. I have already made basic plans for my travel to different regions for the balance of the year with monthly trips of varying duration."
