Brunswick Bowling and Dexter Shoe Company to end licensing partnership
08/26/10
Brunswick Bowling announced today that its licensing relationship with Dexter Shoe Company will terminate at the end of 2010. Dexter has been the official shoe licensee for Brunswick Bowling for 14 years, and will continue to support the Brunswick brand throughout the remainder of the 2010/2011 season.
"While Dexter has been an excellent partner for many years and we wish them the best, strategic business changes at both companies have led to a mutual decision to dissolve the partnership," said Nick Stickler, vice president of Consumer and Aftermarket Products.
Strikeforce Bowling will become the new shoe licensee for Brunswick effective Jan., 1, 2011. Strikeforce Bowling has been Brunswick's bag and accessory licensee for 15 years, developing and providing quality product to bowlers around the world.
The two companies will continue with that partnership and will add shoes to round out the equipment offerings. "This announcement is just one of a number of exciting changes we plan to implement in our consumer products business to help us leverage our recent success and position for continued growth," said Stickler.
"Strikeforce Bowling is proud of its long-standing relationship with Brunswick and is excited to move ahead and expand our partnership," said Brad Handelman, president of Strikeforce Bowling, LLC.
