The winners will represent Kazakhstan in the 2012 Bowling World Cup Nov. 24 to Dec. 2 in Wroclaw, Poland.

Sazonov, the 2011 Kazakhstan champion, led the men's division with 4148 pinfall total including 135 bonus pins to earn his first career BWC berth.

Local favorite Grishinenko, a three-time Kazakhstan champion, dominated the women's field and finished 442 pins ahead of her nearest competitor. Grishinenko will bowl her second consecutive World Cup after finishing 23rd in South Africa last year.

The Kaz Cup drew 14 men and 5 women. All players bowled 12 games of qualifying on dual lane condition with the top eight men and the top four women advancing to round robin match play. The qualifying pinfall was carried forward.

After seven (men) and three (women) match play games the players with the highest total including bonus (20 pins per win, 5 for a tie; additional 5 pins bonus for each game from 200 to 249 and 10 pins for each game from 250 to 300) were declared the champions.
