Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, and Liza Del Rosario of the Philippines are the 2003 men's and women's Asian rankings champions.

Siu Hong, who won the Asian Rankings in 2001, finished 12 points ahead of World Masters Champion Michael Little, Australia, and 37 ahead of 2000 rankings champion Ahmed Shaheen, Qatar.

Shaheen and team mate Saeed Al-Hajri (8th place) are the only Asian male bowlers that qualified for all four World Ranking Masters events.

Joining those four in the World Ranking Masters in Moscow, Russia from June 22 through 27, are first-timers Jason Belmonte (4th), Australia, Duane Camacho (5th), Guam and Azidi Ameran (7th), Malaysia.

Mohamed Al-Qubaisi (tied with Camacho for 5th place), UAE, also qualified for the first time but will bowl in his second WRM as he got a wild card for the inaugural event in the UAE in the year 2000. Last year's ranking champion Remy Ong failed to qualify. The lefty from Singapore missed the cut by ten points in 9th position and is the first alternate.

World trios Champions Liza Del Rosario, Liza Clutario and Cecilia Yap of the Philippines capped off a fantastic season with their great success in the Asian women's rankings. Del Rosario improved on a runner-up finish last year to become the first women to beat 3-time defending rankings champion Shalin Zulkifli, Malaysia, who ended up in third place.

Clutario, the World Championships Masters runner-up, finished second, mere 3 points off the pace, while Yap qualified for the World Ranking Masters in 7th position.

The Malaysian women also secured three spots for Moscow with Wendy Chai (4th) and Choy Poh Lai (5th). 2001 WRM champion Jennifer Tan (6th) qualified for her fourth WRM as did Del Rosario and Zulkifli.

World Championships Masters bronze medallist Lee Eun-Ock, Korea, took the 8th and final qualifying spot. As Korean bowlers, who qualified for the WRM in each of the previous three years, have never participated in any event, chances are looking good for 9th-placed Lai Kin Ngoh's second WRM berth.
