Singapore and Busan earn the first gold medals in 21st Asian Intercity Bowling Championships

    Won Jong-Yoon shoots first 300 game of the Championships

    2007AICMenSinglesMarkWong.jpg Mark Wong, Singapore, and Yoo Sung Hee, Busan, Korea started the 21st Asian Intercity Bowling Championships at Artha Gading Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, with victory in the men's and women's Singles competition.

    2007AICMenSinglesTop3.jpg Wong finished his six-game block with a 246 high game to secure the gold medal with 1318 pinfall total and an average of 219.67.

    (left) was 13 pins behind to earn the silver medal for Paranaque, Philippines, with 1305. Jakarta's Hengky Susanto (right) took the bronze with 1295.

    2007AICWomenSinglesYooSungHee.jpg Yoo Sung Hee (left) had three game over 230 to win the title with 1307 (218.83), the sole 1300 series in the women's division.

    2007AICWonJongYoan300.jpgThe silver medal went again to Paranaque as Cecilia Yap showed a strong finish with 221, 258 and 222 to secure the second place with 1256. Bronze went to Singapore's Gina Lim with 1231.

    Won Jong-Yoon (right), Uiwang, Korea, set the high light when he rolled the first 300 game of the championships in game 5 in Men's Squad 4 on lanes 17/18 in the 30-laner using a Storm Hot Rod Hybrid. Won ended up in 8th place with 1219.
