The 2001 Queens champion posted an 1,118 score in her final five-game block to finish at 3,636 overall, surpassing Kelly Kulick's 3,472 set in the 2009 event. Dorin-Ballard now owns the highest five, 10 and 15-game totals in tournament history.

Kulick (right) of Union, N.J., the 2007 Queens champion, finished qualifying in second with 3,458. USBC Hall of Famer Tish Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo. (3,457), Leanne Hulsenberg, Roseville, Calif., (3,444) and Missy Bellinder of Fullerton, Calif. (3,442) round out the top five.

The top 63 competitors, along with defending champion Liz Johnson of Cheektowaga, N.Y., will now begin the double-elimination match-play format, which begins at 2 p.m. MDT and will be live streamed on BOWL.com. Each match will consist of a three-game set, with total pinfall determining who advances.

The last spot in match play went to Stacey Fehr of Cincinnati, who finished in 63rd with 3,098.

Bellinder and Aumi Guerra of Doral, Fla., became the fourth and fifth bowlers to shoot a perfect game during qualifying. Shayna Ng of Singapore, Jessica Baker of Wichita, Kan., and Amy Stolz of Castle Rock, Colo., also reached perfection on the lanes at the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center.

Watch the USBC Queens live from 9 am through 9 pm MDT.
