Dana Miller-Mackie leads going into match play at USBC Senior Queens

USBC Hall of Famer Dana Miller-Mackie (pictured) of Albuquerque, N.M., led the final round of qualifying for the Senior Queens rolling 3,445 for her 15-game total, easily topping the old record of 3,147 set by Lucy Sandelin in 2009.
Miller-Mackie paced the field by nearly 200 pins. Melody Felton of Colfax, Iowa, finished qualifying in second with 3,247, and was followed by Char Hammel of Las Vegas (3,236), USBC Hall of Famer and 2007 Senior Queens champion Sandelin of Tampa, Fla. (3,226) and Paula Vidad of Crestline, Calif., with 3,204.
The top 31 finishers along with 2009 champion Janine Primrose of Gardnerville, Nev., will enter the double-elimination match-play format. The final spot in match play went to Terri Cooley of Danville, Ky., who finished at 2,843.
