The Emirates Bowling Federation (EBF) will host the
2015 Women's World Championships December 5-14 at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Almost 150 players from 30 countries will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios, five-player Teams, All-Events and Masters in the seven-day competition.

The Korean women dominated the first squad in Singles as the competition in the Women's World Championships got underway Monday morning at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Jeon Eunhee, Hwang Yeonju and Jung Dawun finished squad 1 in first, second and fourth place, respectively. Patricia Luoto of Germany was the only non-Korean bowler in the top 4 in third place. The top 4 will advance to the meadl round on Wednesday morning.
Competition in the 2015 Women's World Championships began Monday morning with the Singles event at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The 147 players from 30 countries were split into two squads to bowl six games preliminaries on the 43 feet long Tokyo pattern before the cut to the top 4, who will determine the champion on Wednesday morning. Squad 1 starts at 9.00 o'clock Gulf Standard Time (GST) with Squad 2 to follow at 13.30. 
On a bright and sunny Sunday afternoon (27°C or 81°F) almost 150 women athletes from 29 countries (the women from Panama are still on their way) marched onto the lanes at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to kick off the Opening Ceremonies of the 2015 Women's World Championships. After Hind Al Hammadi of the UAE national squad
took the players' oath, the Championships were officially opened by a ceremonial ball rolled by Ms. Noora Al Kaabi (pictured). 
The Team USA squad has been selected for the 2015 WTBA Women's World Championships that will take place Dec. 5-14 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. While Danielle McEwan of Stony Point, New York, will make her first appearance in a World Championships, five of the six Team USA members selected by the Team USA coaching staff were on the squad for the 2013 event. With the extended registration deadline rapidly approaching, the 2015 Women's World Championships has reached the 30-country mark. The Championships for women will be held from December 5-13 at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As of today, 30 of 109 member federations of the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) have registered for event.

The Executive Board of World Bowling Tenpin, the governing body of the sport of Tenpin Bowling, has decided the dates for 2015 Women's World Championships at the board meeting December 15-16 in Abu Dhabi following the 2014 Men's World Championships. The 5th WWC, which is contested every four years, will be held from December 4-13, at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. World Bowling Congress and Tenpin Bowling Congress will immediately follow the Championships on Dec. 14-15.
