2016 World Bowling Tour Schedule & Champions

Schedule currently features nine events, six in the Middle East, and one each in Germany, Thailand and United States

2016WBTLogo_small.jpg In its sixth season since the inception in the year 2011, the 2016 World Bowling Tour features eight regular tournaments, including six in the Middle East, and one each in Germany and Thailand. The ninth event and the only WBT "major" this season is the PBA World Series of Bowling VIII to be staged from November 27 through December 11, 2016 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., United States. The next stop is the World Bowling Tour Thailand scheduled for August 6-12 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Players earn ranking points based on how they finish in each event. "Majors" award double points. The current points system is based on a continuous two-year cycle. Based on the scores from the 2016 events, the top three men and top three women in the points list will compete in the season-ending World Bowling Tour Finals (date and venue tba).

World Bowling Tour announces Preliminary Schedule for 2016

Early schedule features 10 tournaments, including six in the Middle East, two in the U.S., and one each in Germany and Thailand

WBTLogo_small.jpg Due to the recent changes in the leadership of World Bowling, bowling's world governing body, the announcement of the preliminary schedule for the 2016 World Bowling Tour was postponed until Monday, Jan. 4. The schedule currently features 10 tournaments, including six in the Middle East, two in the U.S., and one each in Germany and Thailand. The lone WBT "major" on the schedule so far will be the PBA World Championship to be held in Reno, Nev., in December 2016.
