Doubles champion Hayley White, England, beat out Trios champion Marie Gauton, France, for the silver medal by one pin, 3619 to 3618. The top 24 players in All Events (18 games) advance to the Masters finals on Saturday and Sunday.

Daniëlle van der Meer, Daniëlle Pelle, Kelly Plummen, Lisanne Breeschoten and Stephanie Huiden captured the first gold medal fort he Netherlands in the girls Five-Player Team event at the 19th European Youth Championships in Denmark. The Dutch girls felled 5683 over six games, an average of 189,43 to lead second-placed Germany (5665) by 18 pins. The bronze medal went to Sweden with 5558 pinfall total.

Marie Gauton, Amandine Jacques and Charline Boiteux came up strong in the second three-game block to capture the first gold medal for France in the Girls Trios at the 19th European Youth Championships in Denmark. Starting the day in sixth place, the French girls posted the sole 1800-plus score (200 average) with 1827 to win the title. The Netherlands earned the silver medal, while overnight leader Germany fell two spots to third place.
