Swede Pontus Halvarsson won his fourth gold medal at the 19th European Youth Championships in Denmark when he led the 137 boys from 24 countries in All Events. Halvarsson rolled games of 202, 280 and 203 on the final day of the team event to overtake Svein Åke Ek, Norway, by two pins with 3710 18-game total and an average of 206,11. Ek earned the silver medal and Mykhaylo Kalika, Ukraine, took bronze.

Germany's Sascha Obst, Florian Hinterwimmer and Michael Koch came up strong but fell four pins short to earn the silver medal. Finland's Juhani Tonteri, Mikko Masalin and Jani Heikkinen took bronze.
