Singapore cruises to victory in Men's Doubles in Indonesia

    Jason Yeong Nathan achieves perfection

    2006AsCMenDoublesCarldeVriesJasonYeongNathan.jpg After a slow start into the Men's Doubles event, Singapore's Jason Yeong Nathan and Carl De Vries (r-l) came up strong to win the gold medal at the 19th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Indonesia with 2638 pinfall total and an average of 219,83.

    2006AsCMenDoublesTop3.jpgThe highlight came in game five when Nathan rolled a 300-game and De Vries added 264 for a huge 564-score.

    Chinese Taipei's Yang Nien-Hua and Cheng Chao-Yu (left) combined for 2562 to take the silver medal. Abdulla Al-Qattan and Ahmed Shaheen of Qatar (right) were mere six pins behind to earn the bronze medal with 2556.
