Qataris cruise to victory in Men's Trios Asian Championships

    2006ASCMenTriosTop3.jpg Overnight leaders Abdulla Al Qattan, Ahmed Shaheen and Saeed Al Hajri from Qatar (front row from the right) cruised to victory in the men's trios event at the 19th Asian Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.

    The Qataris added games of 667, 613 and 587 on the short oil pattern to finish with 3864 pinfall total and an average of 214,67.

    Malaysians Azidi Ameran, Daniel Lim and Alex Liew (orange shirts from right) closed out the day with a 666-series to beat out Kao Hai-Yuan, Cheng Fang-Yu and Ku Ching-Ho (back row from right) from Chinese Taipei for the silver medal by 6 pins.

    Kao Hai-Yuan, Cheng Fang-Yu and Ku Ching-Ho
    from Chinese Taipei were 37 pins behind to sit in second place with 1960. Malaysia with Azidi Ameran, Daniel Lim and Alex Liew was third with 1896.
