The Malaysians felled 6183 pins over six games - game 1-3 on short and games 4-6 on long oil - and averaged 206,10.

Qatar with Bandar Al Shafi, Mubarak Ali Al-Mureikhi and Trios gold medalists Abdulla Al Qattan, Ahmed Shaheen and Saeed Al Hajri captured the silver medal with 6105 pinfall total and an average of 203,50. The Qataris were second after day one with 3107 and added 2998 on long oil to secure the spot.

Short oil leader Japan with Tomokatsu Yamashita, Masaaki Takemoto, Tomoyuki Sasaki, Yoshinao Masatoki, Masaru Ito and Toshihiro Takahashi was unable to match the vigorous pace it maintained during the first round (3113). The team had 2961 on long oil, the seventh-best total of all fifteen teams, and fell to third place. A 1059 score in game six secured the bronze medal with 6074 pinfall total and an average of 202,47.
