The cities of Busan and Daegu, both Korea, claimed the titles in the women's and men's Doubles competition in the 21st Asian Intercity Bowling Championships at Artha Gading Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Women's Singles champion Yoo Sung Hee (in the front), who won her second gold medal in the championships, and An Yu Ri were the most consistent team. Yoo had a 1245 six-game series including the high game of 279 and An was just one pin behind with 1244 to secure the gold medal for Busan, host of the 2006 Men's world Championships, with 2489 pinfall total and an average of 207.42.

The silver medal also went to Busan as Jang Jee Hyang and Park Eun Sun combined for 2448. Singapore's Geraldine Ng and Bernice Lim beat out Pasay's Angeli Lao and Ditas Red for the bronze medal, 2395 to 2359. Red rolled the highest six-game series in the women's division with 1272, a 212 average.

On the men's side, Kim Young Pyo (left) led the way with the high series of 1324 and the high game of 279 and team mate Park Hee Jeong added 1197 for 2521 pinfall total, an average of 210.08, to coast to victory.

The Koreans topped Tamuning's Manny Tagle and Aaron Elliott by 54 pins. The players from Guam earned the silver medal with 2467.

Men's Singles champion Mark Wong and partner Benjamin Lim secured the bronze medal for Singapore with a 437 final game. Their 2443 pinfall total beat out Lau Kwun Ho and Michael Tsang, Victoria, Hong Kong, by 8 pins. Tsang tied Kim Young Pyo for the highest individual series (1324) and had a high game of 276.
