Pete Weber, St. Ann, Missouri, has been chosen as the May 2016 Kegel Bowler of the Month by the International Bowling Media Association. PDW won twice in the month in the midst of a record PBA50 streak of four straight tournament wins.

The first of his two May wins was in the PBA50 Mooresville Ford Open, presented by Columbia 300 and Miller High Life, defeating Jack Jurek of Lackawanna, New York, 212-198. After averaging 250 to lead qualifying, then as second seed in the stepladder final, Weber won his semifinal match over Tom Baker of King, North Carolina, 266-206, setting up the title match with Jurek.

In the PBA50 Johnny Petraglia BVL Open presented by Brunswick, Weber placed second after qualifying, then finished match play as the top seed in the stepladder final. For the second win in the month, Weber downed Brian LeClair of Delmar, New York, 223-204.

With the second win of the month, the 1999 PBA Hall of Famer tied a record winning three consecutive PBA50 wins, first set by Tom Baker in 2006.

Others obtaining consideration this month were Bernice Lim, winner of the USBC Queens, Liz Johnson, winner of the PWBA Las Vegas Open, Robin Romeo, winner of the USBC Senior Queens, and Peter Hellström, winner of the European Bowling Tour Kegel Aalborg International.
