Consistency the key for Puerto Ricans Diaz and Colon to win Men's Doubles

    2006CACSGBrunoDiazFranciscoColon.jpg Bruno Diaz and Francisco Colon of Puerto Rico were rewarded for their consistency with the gold medal in the Men's Doubles event in the 20th Central American and Caribbean Sports Games at Tito's Bolo Club in Barranquilla, Colombia.

    The duo finished with games of 417, 424 and 425 en route to earn the title with 2520 six-game total and an average of 210,00. Colon led way with 1287 and Diaz added 1233.

    Ildemaro Ruiz and Eddy Fuentes of Venezuela, who led the field of 35 doubles from 14 countries after five games, had to settle for the silver medal due to a 375-score in the final game. Ruiz/Fuentes finished with 2482 and an average of 206,83.

    Daniel Falconi and Alejandro Cruz secured the bronze medal with a strong finish (433). The Mexicans checked in with 2476 pinfall total to finish third, mere six pins short of the silver medal.
