Hansen, 16, rolled a brilliant 1351 in his third Round of qualifying to move from third to take the lead. Galante, 17, maintained her lead by rolling an 1176 for the final six games of qualifying.

"Today was a little tougher because we had two different shots. I'm kinda used to it because I've practiced like that at the Kegel Training Center and we had a tournament like this two years ago. I've worked on it, and I know it's a grind you just do what you can. I just approach it like today is just another day," said Galante.

All the players are feeling a little more pressure as the event narrows down the field, but the leaders are handling it well. "I just had to pay attention to which pattern I was on, but it was very much like it's been for the past two days. I normally do feel pressure and that's what I've been trying to work on by just staying in the moment and not worrying about what others are doing or what happens in the past. I just try to stay calm and not look at the score," said Hanson.

"Pressure is just a state of mind. If you don't put yourself in that state of mind, you can avoid pressure. I try not to think about what position I'm in, and only think about what I do today – just bowl my game and see what happens," added Galente.

The TM now moves into 'best of five' matchplay for the top 32 boys and top 16 girls. It took a 191.2 average to make the boys cut, and a 183.5 to make the girls cut.

After matchplay this afternoon here at Boardwalk Entertainment Center, the top 8 boys and 8 girls will advance to the finals on arena lanes at Universal Studios Orlando beginning at 6 pm.
