Ribeirao and Miranda win Doubles titles in South American Club Championships

The duo had games of 424, 434, 448, 376, 375 and 421 to finish with 2478 pinfall total and an average of 206.50. Trailing the winners by mere six pins to finish second were Singles champion Rodrigo Hermes and tem mate Juliano Oliveira, Barra Bowling, Brazil, who chalked up 2472.

Third place belonged to Singles silver and bronze medalists Richard Leon and Arturo Hernandez, Miranda, Venezuela, who finished with 2450 including the 472 high game of the men's division in game #2.

2007SACCPatriciaCiotti_small.jpg None of the women's duos cracked the 200-average bar. Miranda bowlers Patricia Ciotti (pictured left) and Ingelimar Contreras posted the highest game of the doubles event (481) to cruise to victory with 2348 pinfall total and an average of 195.67.

Lucia Vieira and Singles silver medalist Roseli Santos, Recr. Ribeirao, Brazil, were 32 pins behind in second place with 2316. Patricia De Faria and Nardy Del Biondo, Anzoategui, Venezuela, were a distant third with 2237.

The South American Club Championships continue on Thursday with the Trios event. The players will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios and Mixed Teams (2 women and 4 men). The competition will conclude with the Master Finals.
