Final Four set in Teen Masters
2007 Teen Masters
The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev., United States (July 29 - August 3, 2007)
The field of 387 top youth bowlers in the 10th annual Teen Masters is now down to four boys and four girls, and both defending champions are still in the game, setting up the possibility of a double repeat. 2006 TM Champions Brittni Hamilton and Jake Peters will attempt to win back-to-back Teen Masters titles Friday morning, but they will have to get past some very formidable competition. Ashly Galante, who finished second to Hamilton last year, is also in the top four girls.
In the Round of 8 Thursday afternoon, Hamilton defeated Kayla Johnson 3-2 to advance, and Galante defeated Stefanie Scanlan 3-0. In the other two matches, Samantha Santoro defeated Liz Seibel 3-1, and Samantha Jimeniz beat Stephanie Melton 3-1.
After a tough start in the match play finals, Jake Peters is on a roll. Thursday afternoon, he won 3-0 against Michael Conn to make it into the top four. Joining Peters in the final will be Austin Boulds, Johnathan Trzcinski, and Goeffrey Young. Boulds defeated Joseph May to earn his spot. Trzcinski beat Jonathan Buckert , and Young defeated Andy Soukup. All three of those matches went five games, ending in 3-2 victories for the finalists.
