All 1,458 spots have been sold for the Junior Gold Championships, which will be held July 8-14 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. It is the fastest sell-out in the nine-year history of the event and the first time it has sold out since 2003 in St. Louis.

"This event has been tremendously successful over the years and continues to get bigger and better every year," USBC Chief Tournament Officer Roseann Kuhn said. "The bowlers enjoy the challenging conditions as well as the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in scholarship money."

Held on USBC Sport Bowling lane conditions, the Junior Gold Championships, which is an individual competition, is the largest youth event in the country. Bowlers will battle for spots on USBC Junior Team USA as well as $50,000 in scholarship money.

The event will held in three bowling centers in the Fort Lauderdale area. Don Carter University Lanes will be the host center while competition will also take place at Don Carter Tamarac Lanes and Don Carter Boca Raton Lanes. In addition, side events will be held at Striker's Family Sports Center and Holiday Springs Lanes.

USBC Youth members who average 175 or better (boys) or 165 or better (girls) and who are members of the USBC Junior Gold program are eligible to qualify to advance to the Championships.
