Sioban Ryans sets new Canadian record for three games By Jim Margueratt



    2011SiobanRyans846.jpgSioban Ryans of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada has set a new Canadian women's record for three games. The 29-year-old posted an 846 series, an average of 282, at Prime Time Bowling in Burlington Ontario.

    Ryans started with 21 strikes in a row for games of 300 and 278 and closed out her record series with a 268 game to surpass the previous record by ten pins. Karine Rapagna of Montreal, Quebec had an 836 series (278, 299, and 259) one year ago.

    Overall Ryans had 30 strikes and four single-pin spares. Her previous high series was 787 and her high game was 297.
