Team rosters completed for Women's World Championships

169 players and 91 officials from 33 countries to participate in Hong Kong, China, Sept. 1-11, 2011

2011WWCLogo_small.jpg The Organizing Committee has named that 168 players and 91 officialsfrom 33 countries will participate in the 2011 Women's World Championships in Hong Kong, China, from Sept. 1-11. 27 countries will send a full team of six or five players while six countries cannot compete in all disciplines. The list of players features several gold medalists from the 2009 WWC in Las Vegas spearheaded by two-time gold medalists Clara Juliana Guerrero of Colombia and Korea's Hwang Sun-Ok. Bahamas, Moldova, Puerto Rico withdraw from Women's World Championships

172 players from 33 countries to participate in Hong Kong, China, Sept. 1-11, 2011

2011WWCLogo_small.jpg The Organizing Committee of the 2011 Women's World Championships has informed that Bahamas, Moldova, and Puerto Rico have decided not to participate in Hong Kong China. The withdrawal brings the number of participating countries and territories to 33. 172 players and 92 officials are registered for the nine-day competition which takes place at bowling center Hong Kong Bowling City, a 40-laner located at EMAX mall in Kowloon Bay, from Saturday Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 11. Bowlingdigital will cover the 2011 WWC live from Hong Kong.

Organizing committee announces Schedule of Events for Women's World Championships

2011WWCLogo_small.jpg The Organizing Committee has announced the Schedule of Events for the Women's World Championships to be held in September in Hong Kong, China. The nine-day competition takes place at bowling center Hong Kong Bowling City from Saturday Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 11. Due to the lower number of participating countries (36) and players (approx. 185), the schedule was trimmed almost every day by a couple of hours. There will be three Singles and Doubles squads, two squads in Trios and the five-player teams will compete all together.

Team USA roster announced for Hong Kong Women's World Championships

The Women's World Championships are scheduled to take place Sept. 3-11 in Hong Kong and the United States Bowling Congress will provide free live streaming of the event from start to finish.

WTBA to hold Symposium on Anti-Doping and Sport Science Support in Hong Kong

First of a series of educational seminars for athletes, coaches and officials scheduled for Sept. 1

2011WTBALogo_small.jpg The World Tenpin Bowling Association has informed its member federations that WTBA will be conducting a Symposium on Anti-Doping and Sport Science Support during the 2011 Women's World Championships in Hong Kong. This symposium is the first of a series of educational seminars for bowling athletes, coaches and officials and is free of charge for all participants. It will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. through 5.30 p.m. in the auditorium of E-Max Mall in Kowloon Bay.

It is the fourth World Championships for women only since the WTBA Congress decided to split the quadrennial World Championships into a biennial men's and women's event. As of today, 40 countries have intended to participate in the 2011 WWC.

2011WWCLogo_small.jpg The Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress, host federation of the 2011 World Tenpin Bowling Association Women's World Championships has released the Bulletin No. 2 for the championships which will be held from Sept. 2-11, 2011 in Hong Kong, China. So far 29 WTBA member federations have confirmed to participate in the 2011 WWC, 16 from the European Tenpin Bowling Federation, eight from the Asian Bowling Federation and five from the Pan American Bowling Confederation.

Israel announces teams for Munich MEC and Hong Kong WWC

The national team members were determined after 42 games (six 7-game series, three on long and three on short oil) which were bowled in two bowling centers - Hutzot bowling center in Haifa and Bola bawling center in Holon - over a span of four weeks.
