Parker Bohn III (pictured) of Jackson, N.J. ended a four-year winless streak with victory in the PBA World Championship. The 49-year-old lefthander defeated No. 1 seed,
Jason Belmonte (right) of Australia, in the title match, 254-227, to win his 33rd career PBA title and the $50,000 top prize. It was the second career "major" for Bohn, who ranks sixth on the all-time PBA titles list trailing to Walter Ray Williams Jr. (47), Earl Anthony (43), Norm Duke (37), Pete Weber (36) and Mark Roth (34).
Ryan Ciminelli (l.), United States, and Shayna Ng (r.), Singapore, continued to lead Round One at the International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC. Ng added a 716 series to her 792 first-block set to hold on to the lead in the women's division with 1508 total and an average of 251.33 for six games. Ciminelli has 1479 (246.50) and maintained a 13-pin buffer over defending champion Tommy Jones.
Song Young-Seok (l.) of Korea and Singapore's Amanda Ng (r.) won the international qualifying of the International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC en route to lead the top 36 men and the top 24 women into the main event which starts Thursday afternoon at Inazawa Grandbowl in Japan. The IBC is the fourth event on the 2013 World Bowling Tour and offers total prize fund of 30 million Yen.
Shalin Zulkifli (l.) of Malaysia started the International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC with a bang rolling the first 300 game of the tournament in the first game of the first squad to finish the first day of the women's qualifying atop the leaderboard with 790 (263.33). On the men's side Alex Liew (r.), Malaysia, fired the second perfecto of the day to overtake the lead in the men's qualifying with 775 total (258.33).
The International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC gets underway Tuesday afternoon at Inazawa Grandbowl in Inazawa City, Japan with the first two of eight qualifying squads for international bowlers. The 116-laner is the world's biggest bowling center on one floor. The tournament runs from Jan. 15 to 19 and offers total prize fund of 30 million Yen making the tournament one of the richest bowling events in the world.
Jesper Svensson (pictured), a 17-year-old Swedish youth national team member, defeated long-time Finnish international Pasi Uotila, 206-163, to win the 43rd edition of the Brunswick Ballmaster Open and the 12.000 Euro top prize. Svensson, who won the gold medal in Masters at the 2012 European Youth Championships, became the youngest player ever to win an EBT title and is also the youngest Ballmaster champion in the 43-year history of the prestigious event.

The WTBA World Bowling Tour will see continued growth in 2013 and include double points for major events. The 2013 schedule, which actually includes two events from late 2012, will consist of 15 events, two of which are exclusively for women. "The World Bowling Tour has been a tremendous success in its first two seasons," WTBA President and CEO Kevin Dornberger

partnerships we have developed over the past two years while also
welcoming new events in 2013." 
The World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) has released today the preliminary schedule for the 2013 World Bowling Tour. The WBT currently consists of 15 tournaments including six "majors" in ten countries. The International Bowling Championship in Japan is the only "Major" outside the U.S. The 2013 World Bowling Tour has already started two days ago with the qualifying of the PBA World Championship and ends in November 2013 with the World Bowling Tour Finals.
The organizers of the International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC have announced that the tournament will become a "Major" on the 2013 World Bowling Tour organized by the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA). The International Bowling Championships 2013 will be the lone WBT "Major" outside the United States. 137 men and 119 women will bowl in separate divisions for total prize fund of 30 million Japanese Yen or approximately USD375,000. with JPY6,000,000 (USD75,000) each going to the men's and women's champion.
