Israel names teams for 2012 Women's and Men's European Championships

    WEC (Tilburg, NED) and MEC (Vienna, AUT) to determine the countries who will participate in the 2013 Combined World Championships

    2012MECTeamIsrael.jpgThe Israel Bowling Federation has announced its teams for the 2012 Women's European Championships in The Netherlands in June and the 2012 Men's European Championships in Austria in August. Both championships will determine the countries who will participate in the 2013 Combined World Championships in Las Vegas.

    The Israeli national team members were determined in a 38-game qualifying tournament featuring 12 games each on two different lane conditioning patterns and 14 games on dual lane condition (each lane dressed with a different pattern).

    The qualifying took place at Hutzot bowling center in Haifa and Bola bowling center in Holon.

    2012WECTeamIsrael.jpgThe men's team for European Championships in Austria, which will be held from August 16-26 at Plus Bowling in Vienna, consists of Omer Nehustan (SuperStrike club), Or Aviram (Haifa), Ron Berlov (Hutzon), Lior Koren (Holon), Nati Volfart (SuperStrike), and Aviv Alfital (Holon). Ofer Sadeh, General Secretary of the IBF, will be the Head of Delegation.

    2012WECLogo_small.jpgThe women's team for European Championship in The Netherlands, which will be held from June 6-17 at Dolfijn Bowling in Tilburg, consists of Sarit Mizrahi (Haifa), Shahaf Antin (Ramat Gan), Sara Aviram-Harlaf (Netanya), Tali Itzhak (SuperStrike), and Mali Mizrahi (Ramat Gan). Liat Vizenfeld who is studying in the U.S. will join the team. Shimon Yishay, Treasurer and Vice President of the IBF, will be the Head of Delegation.
