The best three local bowlers and the best three international bowlers outside the top five in the International Bowling Championships 2013 supported by DHC qualified for a Trios shoot-out match in Baker format Saturday morning at Inazawa Futsal Stadium next door to the 116-lane Inazawa Grandbowl in Inazawa City, Japan.

The trios matches as well as the women's and men's TV Eliminator Finals (at noon and 3 p.m. JST, resp.) are staged on temporary lanes in an arena-style setting with an enormous set of TV production equipment. Click on the images to enlarge.

On the women's side, Japan's Rina Asada, Shion Izumune and Shima Washizuka (pictured right, r-l) squared off with Jazreel Tan, Singapore; Jacqueline Sijore, Malaysia and Tannya Roumimper, Indonesia.

The first bowler of each team bowled the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th frame. The sond bowler bowled the 2nd, 5th and 8th frame and the third bowler bowled the 3rd, 6th and 9th frame.

The Japanese women beat the international women for the second year in the row, 204-170. The winners split 200,000 Yen, while the international team received 100,000 Yen.

On the men side representing Japan were Shigeo Saito, Kengo Tagata and Obara Teruyuki. They met the international team featuring Ryan Ciminelli, United States; Jang Dong-Chul, Korea and Mike Fagan, United States (pictured left, r-l).

The international men took revenge for the women defeating the Japanese trio, 245-193. The international players took 200,000 Yen while the Japanese men were consoled with 100,000 Yen.
