Sport Complex Salitre in Bogota, Colombia (July 3-12, 2009)

2009PYCLogo_small.jpgBogota, Colombia will host the Pan American Bowling Confederation Youth Championships from July 3-12, 2009. 20 countries from North, Central and South America are expected to attend.

The event will be conducted at the Sport Complex Salitre in two age groups – under 16 and under 20. Canada will be represented in the under 20 year age division only.

Competition will consist of Team, Doubles and Singles events plus a Masters match play event for the top 12 boys and girls All Events finishers.

Canada's team members qualified to represent Canada at the 2008 Canadian National Championships held in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The girl's team is: Pamela Beaudin, Henrysville, Quebec, Valerie Calberry, Brampton, Ontario, Rosalie Hiscock, Laval, QC and Kodee Pilling, Lethbridge, Alberta. Mathieu Beudoin, Sherbrooke, QC, Massimo Catanzariti, Montreal, QC and Guillaume Trahan, La Praire, QC will bowl on the boy's team.

Raymond Lussier, Montreal, QC was the fourth member of the boy's team but will not be able to attend due to medical reasons and the alternate Brendan Rogers, Fort Saskatchewan, Ab can not attend because of the short notice.

Lucien Casagrande, Winnipeg, Manitoba will coach the boy's team and Deborah Chan of Calgary, AB. will coach the girls. Christina Littlejohn, Vancouver, British Columbia will serve as the team manager and Hazel McLeary, Victoria, B.C., CTF Public Relations Coordinator will also attend.
