Germany is sweltering under a heat wave

Ted Thompson.jpg It is hot in Germany. Temperatures are up to 38 degrees Celsius or 100 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale since more than five weeks. Players and officials at the 9th World Youth Championships in Berlin suffer from the heat. We were interested how much the heat affects the lane maintenance and talked to lane expert Ted Thompson, Kegel's representative in Europe and technical consultants to the WTBA Technical Committee.

Technical Committee announces Oil Patterns for World Youth Championships 2006

Bowlingcenter Schillerpark in Berlin, Germany (July 21-30, 2006)

Ted Thompson.jpg The WTBA Technical Committee has released the oil patterns for the 9th World Youth Championships 2006 in Berlin, Germany. The event will be held from July 21 through 30, 2006 at bowling center Schillerpark, the biggest bowling center in Germany with 46 lanes on one floor. Ted Thompson, technical consultant to the WTBA Technical Committee, explained to us why it has taken longer than normal for the oil patterns to be announced.
