Cherie Tan, Adrian Ang are Bowling's Southeast Asian Games Masters champions

Cherie Tan from Singapore and Malaysia's Adrian Ang captured the coveted Masters titles on the final day of the bowling competition of the 26th Southeast Asian Games Sunday at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In the women's final, top seeded Tan flew past Sharon Koh, Malaysia, 497-372, to claim her third gold medal of the Games. Koh, who eliminated her compatriot Zandra Aziela in the semifinal, 183-180, received the silver medal while Aziela got bronze.
Ang, seeded second in the men's stepladder final, ousted compatriot Muhd Syafiq Ridhwan in the semifinal match, 201-183, to bowl top seeded Frederick Ong, Philippines, for the title. Ang took a five-pin lead after the first game and wrapped up the title with a 225-189 win in game two for a 431-390 victory.
It was Ang's fourth gold medal of the games. Ong, who won the title in Singles, earned the silver medal and Ridhwan received bronze.
30 women and 41 men from seven countries - Brunei (men only), Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam (men only) compete in the 26th SEA Games bowling competition for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios, Teams and Master match play.
