Columbia 300 Vienna Open and the 7.000 Euro top prize. Barnes was also awarded his 14th career PBA title and his first on the World Bowling Tour. In the title match of an all-PBA champions finale, Barnes, defeated reigning PBA player of the Year
Sean Rash, United States, 257-214.

Two-time defending champion Aumi Guerra (l.) of the Dominican Republic averaged 240.20 in the first of four five-game qualifying blocks to take the lead in the women's division of the 48th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland with 1201 total. Guerra, who targets to become the first player ever to win three consecutive BWC titles, has a 55-pin cushion Kirsten Penny (r.) of England, who led Squad A with 1146. 
The 2012 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup got underway Monday morning with the first five-block of qualifying at 24-lane Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland, with 151 players, 82 men and 69 women, representing 84 countries participating. All players will bowl 20 games of qualifying over four days. The men were split into three squads, while the women's division features two squads. In a unique schedule, the women's squads are sandwiched between the men's squads.
USBC Team USA Trials champions and collegiate standouts Marshall Kent (l.) of Yakima, Wash., and Danielle McEwan (r.) of Stony Point, N.Y., will travel to Wroclaw, Poland, to take part in next week's QubicaAMF World Cup. Kent, who bowls collegiately for Robert Morris-Illinois, and McEwan, who competes at Fairleigh Dickinson, earned the opportunity to compete in the event by virtue of winning the USBC Team USA Trials last January.
The 2012 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup will be held from Nov. 24 to Dec. 2 at Sky Bowling Center in Wroclaw, Poland. 155 players from 87 countries - 86 men and 69 women - have registered for the 48th edition of the event. PBA and USBC Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III (pictured) of Jackson, N.J. ended a four-year winless streak with victory in the PBA World Championship. The 49-year-old lefthander defeated No. 1 seed, Jason Belmonte (right) of Australia, in the title match, 254-227, to win his 33rd career PBA title and the $50,000 top prize. It was the second career "major" for Bohn, who ranks sixth on the all-time PBA titles list trailing to Walter Ray Williams Jr. (47), Earl Anthony (43), Norm Duke (37), Pete Weber (36) and Mark Roth (34).
Missy Parkin (l.) of Lake Forest, Calif. and Chris Barnes (r.) of Double Oak, Texas, took different routes to win the women's and men's title at the Bayer Advanced Aspirin World Bowling Tour Women's Finals presented by the PBA Saturday at South Point Exhibition Hall, Las Vegas, Nev. The 2012 World Bowling Tour was made up of 12 tournaments around the world and players earned points based on how they finished in each event.
The WTBA World Bowling Tour will see continued growth in 2013 and include double points for major events. The 2013 schedule, which actually includes two events from late 2012, will consist of 15 events, two of which are exclusively for women. "The World Bowling Tour has been a tremendous success in its first two seasons," WTBA President and CEO Kevin Dornberger
(pictured) said. "We look forward to continuing the great
partnerships we have developed over the past two years while also
welcoming new events in 2013." 
The World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) has released today the preliminary schedule for the 2013 World Bowling Tour. The WBT currently consists of 15 tournaments including six "majors" in ten countries. The International Bowling Championship in Japan is the only "Major" outside the U.S. The 2013 World Bowling Tour has already started two days ago with the qualifying of the PBA World Championship and ends in November 2013 with the World Bowling Tour Finals.
Jason Belmonte (l.) of Australia defeated PBA Player of the Year Sean Rash, United States, 2-1, to win the World Bowling Tour's AMF Australian Masters Saturday at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, Australia. Belmonte pocketed $25000 Australian Dollar (approx. USD 25,860) for the victory and was awarded a PBA international title, his fifth career PBA title. In an all U.S.-affair Diandra Asbaty (r.) swept Missy Parkin, 2-0, to win the women's title.
With the conclusion of the European Champions Cup in The Netherlands, the field is set for the bowling competition of the IX World Games July 25 to Aug. 4, 2013 in Cali, Colombia. The World Games are an international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, which are not contested in the Olympic Games. Each of the three zones of the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) had its own qualifying event to determine the participants for the bowling competition, which will be held Aug 1 to 4.
The WTBA has released Bulletin No. 1 for the 1st World Senior Championships, which will be held Aug. 10-16, 2013 at 72-lane Red Rock Lanes in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. To participate in the first edition of the championships, players must be born December 31st, 1963 or before. Bulletin No. 1 contains information preliminary schedule, the official hotel, the bowling center, various facilities and services, various fees and forms and deadlines.
Stuart Williams (l.) of England remained unchallenged in the 17th and last squad en route to win the qualifying in the 10th Columbia 300 Vienna Open. Williams was the lone player in the 303 player field who surpassed the 1500 mark with 1544 total and an average of 257.33. Birgit Pöppler (r.) of Germany was the best of 55 women in second place with 1466 including 248 handicap and the only 300 game of the tournament so far.
Stuart Williams of England and Team USA's Tommy Jones teamed in Squad 16 to overtake the lead in the Doubles competition of the 10th Columbia 300 Vienna Open with 2802 pinfall total and an average of 233.50. Williams (l.) , England's first PBA champion, who leads qualifying with 1544 and an average of 257.33, rolled a 1346 series and Jones (r.), a 13-time PBA champion, led Squad 16 with 1456 (242 average) en route to move into third place in the overall qualifying standings. 
Liz Johnson (pictured left) of the United States rolled games of 289, 224, 224, 190, 223 and 200 in Squad 15 of the 10th Vienna Open to into sixth place in the overall qualifying standings with 1398 including handicap. Nicole Heberle (right) of Germany was mere six pins behind with 1392 to take eighths place. Tanner Spacey, United States, is the man on the bubble in 52nd place with 1308 and an average of 218.
