Costa Rica's Rojas and Delgado prevail in Mixed Doubles at Cambowl Mayor

2006CambowlMayorMixedDoubles.jpg Men's Doubles champion Diego Rojas and Viviana Delgado averaged 211,83 over six games en route to cruise to victory in the Mixed Doubles event on the third day of competition at the Cambowl Mayor 2006 in El Salvador. It was the second gold medal for Rojas, who shot the highest series of the day with 1351, and the third for Costa Rica.

Two-time women's champion Sofia Granda of Guatemala and Mauricio Piñol, who became the CONCABA Champion of the Champions last weekend, teamed to earn the silver medal with 2425, an average of 202,08. Granda, who won gold in singles and doubles, posted the second-best 1270-series including the two highest games, both men and women, of 279 and 253, while Piñol contributed 1155.

Places 3-5 went to local bowlers. El Salvador's Julio Acosta Espinoza and Elizabeth Acosta grabbed the bronze medal with 2282 (190,17), with Martha Cáder/Angel Ortíz in fourth at 2235 and Francisco Sanchez/Roxana Fajardo fifth, 2208.
