Danielle McEwan, Marshall Kent lead after fourth round at 2016 USBC Team USA Trials

McEwan placed in the top five for the third consecutive round, finishing fourth Wednesday to extend her leading total to 16 ranking points. Kent moved into the overall lead for the first time with a fourth-place finish of his own, which brought his total to 36 points.

Fehr, McEwan continue to lead at 2016 Team USA Trials after Round 3

Fehr holds the men's overall lead with a three-round total of 17 ranking points, following a 12th-place finish in Tuesday's third round, while McEwan used a third-place effort to increase her lead over the women's field with 12 points.

Page, a three-time PBA champion, led on the men's side with a 1,461 total, a 243.5 average. Earnest set the pace for the women with 1,417 (236.17). The players in the field earn points based on their finishing position in each of the five qualifying rounds.

2016 USBC Team USA Trials, U.S. Amateur competitions start January 3

The 70-lane venue at Gold Coast Hotel and Casino will host the 2016 events, as a near-record field of men, women and youth competitors seek spots on Team USA and Junior Team USA for 2016. The men's and women's U.S. Amateur champions not only will take home the coveted title but also earn a spot on Team USA.
