Team USA Trials errant shot video reaches 1 million views

The amazing footage of Josh Scanlan's errant shot during the BOWL.com live streaming coverage of the United States Bowling Congress Team USA Trials last week has gone viral and surpassed more than one million views online. Originally posted on USBC's YouTube channel Friday morning, the video has been viewed more than 1,200,000 times on Yahoo! The YouTube channel has more than 195,000 views. The video shows his entire 10th frame in which the shot occurred.

Fagan, Padilla lead Team USA Trials after Day Three

2011TeamUSATrialsMikeFaganBrendaPadilla_small.jpgDefending champion Brenda Padilla of Mansfield, Texas, and Mike Fagan of Patchogue, N.Y., hold the lead heading into the final day at the 2011 USBC Team USA Trials. Padilla had the high nine-game block in the women's field on the 47-foot Paris lane pattern Thursday to surge into the lead with a 27-game total of 5,931, an average of 219.6. Fagan, meanwhile, stayed in the lead for the third consecutive day and has a total of 6,119, an average of 226.6.

Asbaty holds a slim seven-pin lead with a two-day total of 3,929, an average of 218.2, while Fagan leads with 4,192, an average of 232.8, at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in suburban Las Vegas. Competition continues Thursday with the third of four nine-game blocks.

Asbaty, Fagan lead opening round at Team USA Trials

Fagan, topped the men's field with a nine-game block of 2,124 (236 ave.), while Asbaty shot 2,028 for her nine games, (225.43), on the 40-foot Athens lane pattern at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in suburban Las Vegas. Competition continues Wednesday with the second of four nine-game blocks.

Edwards, Janawicz eye back-to-back Team USA Trials titles

The pair of amateur bowlers will take on a field of nearly 180 men and women looking to capture spots on Team USA. The trials, will be held Jan. 3-7 at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in Henderson, Nev.

2011TeamUSATrials_small.jpg The 2011 USBC Team USA Trials will take place Jan. 3-7 at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in Henderson, Nev.. All USBC members are eligible to compete and have a chance to join Team USA in 2011 by finishing among the top three men and top three women, who will earn automatic spots on the team. Competition will consist of 36 qualifying games in four nine-game blocks, each block being contested on a different lane-conditioning pattern.
