Rodrigues, who has represented Brazil in the 2009 Bowling World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia, averaged 183.47 for 17 games in the women's qualifying to earn the No. 1 seed for the five-player stepladder finals.

Elisa Kim (184), the No. 3 seed, eliminated Rosina De Freitas (178) and Solange Canelas (169) in the first round and went on to defeat Talita El Kadri in the semifinals, 188-167, before falling to Rodrigues.
