Super Bowl Mini Eliminator rolls February 6-12
11/07/05
The fifth Annual Super Bowl Mini Eliminator Tournament, presented by Brunswick, will take off February 6 and run through February 12 at the beautiful Orleans Hotel, Casino and Bowling Center in Las Vegas. 'The King' of the Vegas megabuck events will guarantee $50,000 first place in 2006, up from $30,000 last year.
Aside from the big $50,000 top prize is an ALL NEW "Open Division", and for the first time, all former PWBA champions and members, and all non-exempt PBA pros (except multi title holders since 1995) are eligible to bowl in this special division.
All those "professional amateurs", such former megabuck winners, and national team members will also compete in the new division. The beauty of the concept is that Mini Eliminator bowlers who are competing in the normal age divisions will no longer have to try to qualify for the finals against these elite players.
Super Bowl Mini Age Divisions are the same as in the past events; 39 and under, 40-49, 50-59. There will also be a 60+ Super Senior division and an improved Women's Only division - for the first time, there will be a women's cut every day, with 1 in 8 women advancing to the finals.
Women who are PWBA national champions or current PBA members will compete in the open division. There will be 28 3-game qualifying squads February 6-12. The Grand Finale will be at 8 pm (PST) February 12.
A 'Bowl More To Save More' entry fee structure is also new. First entries, which includes a $50 MoRich products coupon good in the Orleans pro shop, are $250; second is $180, third $160 and the fourth entry, which includes a new top-of-the-line Brunswick Inferno ball, is $140.

All entries after the fourth are only $99 each, and anyone who enters 8 squads gets a second free Brunswick ball. Other bonuses include free Dexter shoes with 10 entries, $50 in Orleans Casino Matchplay coupons, and for all who pre-pay by January 17, a free mid-week room night at the beautiful Orleans Hotel.
Mini Eliminator bowlers who arrive early in the week can also participate in the Orleans Bowlers Only Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament to be held during the NFL Super Bowl game February 5.
The Poker tournament will start at 2:30 pm and be finished in time for everyone to make the MoRich Mixed Doubles Finals which start after the game at approximately 7 pm (PST).
The Super Bowl Mini Eliminator will be held February 6-12, 2006 at the Orleans Bowling Center, Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
