European bowlers continue good performance in Mini Eliminator

Dutch bowler Bart Reitsma and Paul Moor from England reached the Daily Finals in the 5th Annual Super Bowl Mini Eliminator in Las Vegas, Nev. for the second consecutive day. Reitsma shot a 626 three-game set to lead the 205 and under Division in Squad 6. As his score is the highest of the division at the moment, he has even the chance to advance to the Grand Finale.
2-time European Ranking champion Moor posted a huge 717-series in the Open Division but was beaten by one pin by Gary Yamasaki with 718.
92 players registered for the 3pm squad the five main divisions (39 and under, 40-49, 50-59, 205 and under, Open) and two separate divisions (Super Seniors and Women). 1 in 8 players advance to the Daily Finals. The high daily series in each of the main divisions advances to the Grand Finale on Sunday and does not bowl in the Daily Finals.
Cuts to the Daily Finals for the woman and the 60 and over is done on a daily basis. All advancing women will bowl in their appropriate age division in the Daily Finals, while the Senior and the Super Senior division will be combined.
Jose Rodriguez and Curtiss Bergheim secured a spot in the Daily Finals of the 39 and under Division (21 players) with 656 and 631. John Conroy led the 40-49 Division (12) with 683. Advancing from the 50-59 Division were John Masiello (pictured), also for the second time, and Jim Wagner with 683 and 656. Qualifying continues today with two more squads at 5pm and 7pm before the Daily finals will conclude the second day of qualifying.
