Orleans Bowling Center undergoing $1.9 million renovation

When Mini Eliminator bowlers return for the summer Mini Eliminator July 3-10, they will notice some big changes to the Orleans Bowling Center. Starting in mid-March, the 70-lane center will begin the final phase of the $1.9 million renovation that began in 2005 when all new Brunswick GSX pinsetters were installed.
"After 10 years, the place needs a little modernizing," said Coast Casinos Director of Bowling Mike Monyak (pictured on the right with asssistand manager Terry Gleason), who just complete overseeing the opening of Coast's new 64-lane South Coast Bowling Center. Coasts' other centers include the 64-lane Suncoast, and the 70-lane Gold Coast. When this project is complete the four coast centers will be among the most modern in the world.
The Orleans center project will be done in 6-8 lane segments and will remain open 24-hours all during the remodel. The total project will be completed in early June, just before International Bowl Expo and the 13th Annual Mini Eliminator return to Las Vegas.
The Orleans renovation this year will include all new Brunswick Pro Anvil Lanes, new pin decks, new masking units, new ball returns and caps, new foul lights, new upper and lower scoring monitors, and all new Brunswick Vector Plus front end and back office systems.
The Coast Centers are some of the busiest in the world, and the managers and staff take pride in providing a beautiful and well organized center where everything works as it should, and with the renovation of the Orleans, Mini Eliminator bowlers will enjoy their summer trip even more.
