Lennie Boresch shoots into the lead in Open Division

Lennie Boresch, Kenosha, WI, rolled a huge 736 three-game series in the second qualifying squad today, 22nd overall, to take the lead in the Open Division in the Super Bowl Mini Eliminator here at the Orleans Bowling Center.
The players with the highest daily 3-game series from each of the five main divisions automatically advance to Sunday's Grand Finale. They are guaranteed minimum of $1,250 and therefore they do not bowl in the Daily Finals.
As Boresch already qualified for the Daily Finals in the first squad today, the next four of total 30 bowlers advanced to the Daily Finals this evening at 9pm (1 in 8 ratio). Corey Husted, son of 3-time U.S. Open champion Dave Husted (690), Chad Pojas (688), Nicholas Wissinger (670) and Nick Smith (655).
Joe Lopez (pictured), Farmers Branch, TX (672) and Jeff Garrison, Hawthorne, CA (622) led the 39 and under and the 40-49 Division, respectively, but didn't match the scores shot in the previous squad.
Ken Webber, Orlando, FL (672) and Chuck Czygryn, Chicago, IL (653) overtook the lead for the Daily High Series in the 50-59 and 205 (average) and under Division, respectively.
