Event #2: The MoRich Over & Under Doubles Championship

MoRich Bowling Balls is once again sponsoring a special doubles tournament to kick off Mini-Eliminator week; The MoRich Over & Under Doubles Championships. This event will be a 2 day weekend tournament (July 1 & 2) and you do not have to bowl in The Mini-Eliminator to participate.

All doubles teams must consist of one bowler under age 50 and one bowler 50 and over. All male and female bowlers are welcome except current PBA exempt players and any bowler that has won more than one PBA national title in the past 10 years. The only other rules that must be followed in forming a doubles team is both bowlers cannot be current PBA members and both cannot be former PBA or PWBA national/senior title holders.

There will be 5 squads; three on Saturday (July 1) and two on Sunday (July 2.) Each squad will have its own 3-game qualifying and cashing. One in 10 teams each squad will advance to the finals and guaranteed a minimum of $1,000. The highest scoring team in each squad will earn 2 byes & guaranteed $2,000. Every squad will also feature a 1 in 5 cashing ratio with last cash guaranteed to pay at least $800 - Double Your $!

The MoRich Doubles finals will take place after the last qualifying squad on Sunday (7/2- around 2pm.) All teams that have advanced, except the 5 teams earning 2 byes, will bowl one game with the top 50% advancing to the next round. Teams keep bowling as long as they continue to beat half the field. In Round 3, the five seeded teams will join the remaining teams, and continue to bowl 1 game rounds until the $10,000 MoRich Doubles champion is crowned.

Entry fee is $400 per team. Teams may re-enter and cash with each entry. You may change partners as often as you like, but once a team makes the finals, the two bowlers must continue to bowl together for the rest of the tournament. If a team that has already advanced to the finals bowls again and makes the 1 in 10 cut, they do not take a finals spot away from another team, but will cash as the highest non-finalist team in that squad. Once a team earns 2 byes they may not re-enter.
