Wendy Kok and Maarten Pittens (pictured) won the Dutch Bowling World Cup Saturday at Chandra Bowling in Schiedam and will represent their country in the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup to be held from Nov. 13-20, 2009 at Melaka International Bowling Center in Melaka, Malaysia. Both players led their division since the qualifying which was conducted two weeks ago and widened their lead during the Round of 16 and the round robin match play finals.
Bigi Manico from Zurich and Larry Vontobel (pictured left) from Lausanne took different routes to win the Swiss Bowling QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup Qualifier Sunday at bowling center BESECO in Rümikon near Winterthur. While Manico, the local favorite, cruised to victory in the women's division with a 406 pin buffer, Vontobel was down by 77 pins heading into the final match play game. Manico and Vontobel will represent Switzerland in the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cupin Malaysia.
The Melaka International Bowling Center was officially opened for business last month by the Chief Minister of Melaka and now all involved are looking forward to welcoming bowlers from around the world in mid-November for the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. As for the tournament, 90 countries have now indicated that they will be sending representatives. The qualifying rounds start on 16th November with
the finals on 19th.
Franz Monteiro and Roberta Rodrigues won the men's and women's title in the 18th Brazil Open Cup Qubica AMF en route to earn the Brazilian spots for the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. However, they took different routes win the titles as Monteiro had to win four games in three matches while Rodrigues needed just one win to seal the victory. The 2009 Bowling World Cup will be held at Melaka International Bowling Center in Melaka, Malaysia from Nov. 13 through 20, 2009. 
Irina Lazaridi (l.) and Makhmut Iskhakov (r.) won the finals of the Bowling World Cup Kazakhstan National Championships last Wednesday at Bamboo Bowling in Almaty. They will represent Kazakhstan at the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup November 13-20 at Melaka International Bowling Center in Melaka, Malaysia. In the meantime, Anne-Marie Board, QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup Manager,
has announced the tentative schedule for the 45th edition of the
prestigious event.
Six-time world champion Paeng Nepomuceno set a new Bowling World Cup qualifying three-game record with a series 815 last Sunday at the Superbowl Bowling Center in Makati City. Nepomuceno rolled games of 257, 269 and 289. According to Kenneth Gavino, marketing manager of AMF Puyat which has been sponsoring the local eliminations for the past 40 years, Nepomuceno's feat is a new World Cup qualifying record. The 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup will be held from Nov. 14-21, 2009 at Melaka International Bowling Center in Melaka, Malaysia.
Katrien Goossens (pictured left) , Brabo bowling club, and Olivier Leroy (right), Cordial bowling club, won the finals of the Bowling World Cup Belgium National Championships last Sunday at Bowling Stones Wemmel in Belgium. They will represent Belgium at the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup from November 14 through 21 at Melaka International Bowling Center, a new 52-laner inside the Melaka International Trade Center in Melaka, Malaysia.
At this point in his career, there aren't many bowling experiences that are new to Team USA member Walter Ray Williams Jr., but when he competes in the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup this November, he will take aim at a title he's never had a chance to win in the past. Williams was recently selected to represent the United States in the World Cup, which will take place Nov. 14-21 in Melaka, Malaysia. It marks the first time a professional bowler has represented Team USA in the event.
Michael Schmidt of Tyndall, Manitoba and Caroline Lagrange from Montreal, Quebec won the Bowling World Cup Canadian National Championships conducted by Bowl Canada. They won the right to participate in the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World
Cup to be held in Melaka, Malaysia between the 14th and the 21st. of
November in a new 52 AMF lane Melaka International Bowling Center
located inside the Melaka International Trade Centerr, which will
open in June. The National finals were held on the 40 lanes of Centre de Quilles 440 in Laval, Quebec, on March 14 and 15. 
Jasmine Yeong-Nathan from Singapore and Team USA's Derek Eoff claimed the women's and men's title in the prestigious 44th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup on Friday, Nov. 14 at Bol 300 in Hermosillo, Mexico. In the women's title match, Yeong-Nathan won the first-ever World Cup title for Singapore by defeating defending champion Ann-Maree Putney, Australia, two-games-to-none. Eoff won the second consecutive men's title for the United States with 2-1 win over Martin Larsen, Sweden. Putney and Larsen finished second with Zara Glover, England, and Zulmazran Zulkifli, Malaysia, in third place.

In one of the most exciting finals in the 44-year-history, top seeded Derek Eoff (left), United States, defeated No. 2 seed Martin Larsen (right), Sweden, two-games-to-one, to bring the men's title in the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup home to the United States for the second consecutive year. Eoff came back from a 0-1 deficit to win game #2 in roll-off after a 279-289 tie and the decisive game, 278-196. In the opening match, Larsen defeated third-seeded Zulmazran Zulkifli from Malaysia , 2-1.

The women's finals of the 44th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico, featured two of the most experienced players, defending champion Ann-Maree-Putney (right), Australia, and Zara Glover, England, and a 20-year-old youngster, No. 1 seeded Jasmine Yeong-Nathan. When the dust had settled the Singaporean (left) won the first-ever World Cup title for her country firing two huge games (263, 298) to dethrone Putney, two-games-to-none. Round robin match play went right to the wire in the women's division of the 44thQubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico. There were just two pins separating Helen Johnsson (left) of Sweden (8792) and Zara Glover (right) of England (8790) with the position round to go and they were playing each other.
